Museum Tour and Irish Heritage at Lockwood-Mathews Mansion

March 21 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Lockwood-Mathews mansion is a National Historic Landmark and one of the earliest and most significant Second Empire Style country houses in the United States. Located in Norwalk, Connecticut, Lockwood-Mathews recently re-opened after being closed for a two-year renovation project. VSNY attendees have been offered a rare opportunity to visit the museum before public hours, allowing for a more intimate experience. Trained docents will lead a 90-minute tour of the mansion, including the upcoming Irish heritage exhibit, which will be unveiled the week of St. Patrick’s Day.
